Mesh to Voxel & 3D Converter
Free mesh-to-voxel converter and 3D viewer. Load GLB, OBJ, STL or PLY, voxelize it up to 128 blocks across, edit it, or convert it to another format.
Drop a model — GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL or PLY
Upload a 3D model to view it, convert it to another format, or turn it into voxels. Fully in-browser — nothing is uploaded.
Drag to orbit · scroll to zoom · right-drag to pan.
How to use the Mesh to Voxel & 3D Converter
- Drop a GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL or PLY model.
- Set the resolution: how many voxels fit across the longest side.
- Switch View between the original model and the voxels to compare.
- Export the voxel GLB, open it in the Voxel Editor, or convert the original model to another format.
Using it in your game
The voxel GLB imports into Godot, Unity and Blender as one mesh with vertex colors.
Frequently asked questions
How does voxelization work?
The tool fills the inside of your mesh on a 3D grid (ray-based solid voxelization) at the resolution you pick, sampling surface and texture colors, all locally in your browser.
Can I just view or convert a model without voxelizing it?
Yes. Switch the view to Original model to orbit and inspect it, then export the original as GLB, OBJ, STL or PLY — for example OBJ to GLB or STL to OBJ.
Does conversion keep materials and colors?
Geometry always converts; materials and vertex colors carry over where the target format supports them (GLB and PLY). STL is geometry-only by design.
What can I do with the voxel result?
Export it as a vertex-colored GLB and open it in the Voxel Editor or any 3D tool to keep working on it. Nothing is uploaded at any point.
